“If you do something you love, you will never work a day in your life…” Unknown. As enjoyable as the quote reads it not always true. Sometimes you love your career and the task assigned to you is TRES difficult daily. Teaching is harder than most of its rewards. Classroom hours are long with heavy workloads. So, it’s easy to fall prey to teacher burnout or general burn out from work. Burnout is so common.
Yet few people stop take a minute for self and family. But rest is needed to restore your energy and your mind. Rest is defined by the person doing the resting. So, my version of rest is roaming my Kittitian hills. Someone might need to take a minute and listen to some music. Another person might need silence. Rest is a unique individual practice that improves whole health. WE NEED TO REST MORE and rest in peace.
