Today was intended to focus on my own business but my students are unprepared for their upcoming exams. Mostly, because they don’t have the financial and other resources at home. Some students don’t have personal lab tops or wifi so in between having them at home and several Extra hours in class. I struggle to get time to make magic for own myself. Yes, I enjoy being a teacher. But I am a person not only a teacher. However, I show up so they can access resources and teacher.
This self-sacrifice is NOT heroic it’s only hard. Hence, I intend to transition from the classroom. So, I don’t have to feel guilty about giving myself my own personal time to make some of my own dreams a reality. My growth beyond the classroom matters to. I understand some persons imagine the teacher to be a saint so the only response is to give out. But students graduate and move on.
Should teachers be allowed to graduate and move on?
The struggle is real?
