The more you commit to outside of your own agenda is time you take from servicing your intention. So a practice of saying no to things that do not benefit you is actually saying yes to the practice of building the life you want and intent to have. A few weeks ago not being a saint who serves all except myself sounded selfish. But I am learning it is not selfish to protect your time and energy. Saying no to things that are of no benefit to your intended outcomes is sensible. Saying no must also be extended beyond what is bad to good things also. Being a good person does not mean you are available to do everything that asked of you even when it is good.
Your life is a limited resource and you have to treat it that way.
