I have taken to observing leadership.

leadership across the world and in particular leadership as it is done in the Caribbean.

This man is extremely peculiar to me.

1. I choose to look at him through my own lens. Not the he bad, tief and terrible… labor is good all di time lens. Or di geh rid of dem lens. But an honest examination of him as a leader. It’s called ethnographic research 🔬 to examine a man in his element.

2. He is choosing how he responds. Like he just got a beat on a national stage. But he is not a coward. And he has lost enough lbs to move his body with a swagger now.

Observe how he throws his jacket.

3. His politics was defeated but the man was not defeated. His performance is almost if he is almost at the peak of his brilliance. He is in the zone. Watch the video and observe the charisma. His command of the crown and the application of physiology.

4. If he can get 5 feasible candidates, or convince 5 feasible able men and women he is able to lead them. He would be formidable opposition. Not those rush whether candidates he had with him. Not all of them were bad but not enough of them were prepared for the fight.

Look at him. He held the mic behind the pulpit. Then he moved gracefully, looking at the slight movement of his hands 🙌🏾it’s a raise and to his hand jester they raised their voices, then they raised themselves he signaled the crowd and they responded. They behaved to his commands as the church does when stirred by its leader.

There is always an advantage of a perceived disadvantage and a disadvantage of the advantage you think was given to you.

Some of us don’t mind guerrilla warfare.

Since he was selected to be a candidate by the St. Kitts Nevis Labour Party he has been nothing but a politician.

I am looking forward to his pivot.
