Is it more important to you to be liked by the masses?
Or to appreciated by some people who want to appreciate you?
As marketers we have a responsibility to understand the ling curve
Do you want to race to the masses at the risk of diluting your brand
Or are you willing to invest in some people.
Some people who want to hear your message
Some people who want to purchase your product
If it sensible to extend effort in finding those who want you or trying to get the attention of everyone
WallMart is not for everyone
Mac is not for everyone
Ready Fry is not for everyone
MCH is not for everyone. But How I am for, I will invest in presenting the best version of myself.
What we can become the best at is being an idiosyncratic exception to the standard.
