“Self care is note selfish or self indulgent. We can not nurture others from a dry well. We need to take care of our own needs first, then we can give from our overflow.”

Care providers occupy a sacred space in community. They have a mission to provide social, physical, and psychological CPR for the rest of us.

Often our borders are pourous,

Boundaries are expectations and needs that help you feel safe and comfortable in your relationships.

We’ve all heard the analogy for airplane ✈️ safety’s language: “Put on your oxygen mast first before helping others.”

Simple enough right?

Nope.

Neglecting self- care seems to be a trademark of nurses, police officers, teachers, mothers and more

For the caregiver is community Neglecting self care is the happens easily when we get caught up in our desire to help others.

Are you paying attention to your needs?
