It’s me of Lord Kum ba Yar
A hymn is meditative
I got to this understanding on many hymns
And I am finally learning grace.
I have not mastered it
Sometimes I get to grace very mechanically
It’s not always automatic:
The former toxic leaders, former toxic colleagues, and even former toxic friends & family who hurt me.
I released them on hymns
“ There is a Shepard in my valley
And I shall not want” – Hymn
It was about their internal struggle, their own insecurities and their battle to “feel worthy.”
It was never actually about me.
I just received their cruelty. But it’s not mine to carry.
Hurt and anger is heavy!
So I rest it down
So, the concept of grace has helped me heal, be on a journey of forgiveness and provided me the closure I needed.
