What seems to be an unsolvable problem in education is HONESTY.1. There are never enough teachers, we constantly understaffed. So, to compensate we teach tired, while manufacturing ways to give more. It continues to be an unsolvable. 2. Helping children who need to be in systems of care. Not every child can withstand the rigors of the traditional academic system as it is. Some children just need care at the center of their daily experiences. I am not sure exactly what they need but their needs are different. 3. Places and spaces to put children and teachers with special needs. Yes some teachers are not able to meet the demands of the traditional class room either. After a while the burn out is real. Yup some teachers don’t function in the system. But they need a job so they show up and their presence continue to cause learning loss because they are not suited to function. Not a lot of us but enough to affect all of us. We treat these children and teachers like hot potatoes just passing them around giving everyone a turn with the problem. These education unsolvables have been the cause of learning loss for decades This child told me he loved me after two sessions. “Teacher I love you ok” he was conscious of the struggle we both had sitting together. “I love you teacher”
