Angela tek win….

2 miles in the hills

Church for 1.5 hours

Clean out before we leave

On di road again

Someone invited us out for lunch – and Angela ain’t staying home

As a child we ( the community ) use to call her walk a leg… she doesn’t have the stamina anymore but she has the will to walk wid.

I realise my elder hyperactive: so being still for extended periods of time can be a problem.

So it’s about:

1. Encouraging soft activities: a 2 miles at morning uses a sufficient amount of her energy.

2. Routine: consistently in daily activity, meal time, exercise, social engagement, provides a structure around her movement for the most part. (this prevents wandering & it keeps her safe)

3. Keep her hydrated: This is a fight of answering a 100 questions of why she can only drink tea and water…

Caring for your own elder is not for the faint of heart… Angela have me going by di breath 🙌🏿

But when we walk together and she leading … she is included in life …. A lot of times we leave them and go on living because sooooo much things to do…

And deh get lonely and depressed but a lil walk stimulate their minds… and church… all things and experiences for dem to talk about
